Congratulations.  Nurses are special people.

I've been on some people's lists before.  I don't recall if any of them were named Dean.   Wink

Congrats,  good to know when we get old there will be someone in our family to take care of us.  2funny

My brother's eldest daughter is getting her nurses license (not sure which one but not the basic one)  from UW-Madison and actually working now at University Hospital in Madison.  His son is in the military thru basic training and going to be a medic.  His youngest daughter is in college now studying to be a vet tech with animals.

I told him over Christmas good to know he will have all 3 able to administer meds to him and take care of him when he gets older.   2funny

My daughter in high school is thinking of becoming a teacher of some sort.  Although I totally admire becoming a teacher, say for younger kids,  since she has a way with younger children,  it is not going to be a money maker big time in life.  Basic teachers don't get paid a ton of money but do get the summer months off for the most part I guess?

I think the medical field is good to go into for there always seems to be a good job somewhere in that field.

Yeah my future is lookin pretty good...my youngest daughter will graduate as a Dental Hygenist...so with the other 2 as nurses I'll have someone to tend my dentures , one to wipe my drool and the other to change my diaper ...haha....my son is majoring in Spanish , not sure where that will come into play for me , except maybe when the demensia kicks in I won't understand English anymore so it won't matter what language he speaks to me.

Hillary and Chelsey eh? What a coinkydink! Will they eventually be presidential? LOL Sincere congrats and kudos to the whole family for their work ethic and your parenting skills. Why doesn't the POTUS use your family as an example of how a family should be? Huh?

My Mom was a staunch Democrat ,I loved her dearly ,but her and I were on different planets when it came to politics (she really hated it when she would call George Bush a liar and I would respond with ...you mean like.."I did NOT have sex with that woman" in my very best Bill Clinton voice) She was certain that we had named those 2 in honor of the Clintons...not a chance ! She probably told all her Democrat friends that though..haha.

Congratulations on the successful crew. I have two boys in college and they struggle. My mother was also a democrat and argued with my dad when I was young. When we kids when to school, she went to work in the real world doing the books for small business. She quickly changed her song when she saw how the government was milking working people and jerking business around.  The fact that companies can't vote make all corporate tax illegal. Taxation without representation? If your kids are smarter than you, thank your wife for contributing to the pool. Good parents make good kids.

It's funny because my Mom retired from Civil Service at Grissom Air Force Base where one of several positons she held was Wing Commanders Secretary...she saw first hand all of the disgusting government waste and abuse , most of which was during the Clinton Administration , but still supported them.

I regularly dealt with the civilian secretaries for Wing Kings and general officers and staff judge advocates.  Regardless of their politics..... you messed with them at your own peril.

Yes ma'am, no ma'am, thank you very much ma'am.   Grin

We referred to my 3-star's secretary as Herr Reichsführer (but not where she could hear you).

I couldn't afford 3 of them in College at the same time.

It was hard enough just to put 2 through together without any Student Loans.   We bought savings bonds from the time they were ZERO years old.      All but about $60,000 was covered on the 4 years of college, plus the Construction Engineer, went 2 more years and got her Masters.   She is making good salary on her job.    Several of the Projects she worked on the builders have asked for her to be the Project Manager on buildings that they built later.

The youngest ones ex, had student loans in the amount of $400,000.     He makes over $150K annual salary, but I don't think he has paid one red cent on them.    He is too interested in high priced cars, and big fancy homes.       He is currently in the process of building a $900,000 home on a big vacant lot.    I think the lot is 3 acres, but not sure.    Currently his house is the only one in the area.   The plan the developer came up with and got approval was to build 95 homes, his is on the outside on a corner.

I figure someday the Govt will hit him in the ass big time for those student loans.

Told the daughter she was lucky he asked for a divorce and you gave it to him.    He turned around & married the lawyer gal he was messing around with.     She did some work, well  was supposed to for the state.   Was paid $320,000 and as of the last I heard, the state wants their $$$$ back + interest.     She also could do 3 years in the pokey for not performing the job she was paid to do.     I think the state has 24 lawyers on he hook for paid in advance but nothing done in the line of work.       Big Hal a balou over it in the newspaper.

Oh well, daughter is no longer involved so no worry there, YET.
