Company policy prohibits employees from utilizing firearms in the performance of their duties. Honestly I don't think I'll bother. Wrong is still wrong. It doesn't become right just because a company declines firing an employee for violating a wrong policy. Right is when a company recognizes that their policy is wrong.

Wrong is expecting an employee to expose themselves to a potentially dangerous situation unprotected. This was a setup by two thugs expecting an easy score. Of course the rebuttal would be that if you don't like the policy, find another job.

I might have to change my opinion about the owner of Papa Johns. When ever I see him in one of his commercials, he seems a little out of whack.
Glad the company is standing behind it's employees, unlike AutoZone.

Any company that has Peyton Manning and Joe Montana in their commercials has to be good right?
Glad Papa John's supported and did the right thing with their employee.
Never had a Papa John's pizza ever since none very close by, but might have to now go out of my way to get one, heard they are delicious.

My former employer's hostility to firearms was a major factor in my changing jobs. They tried to ignore Indiana's parking lot law when it was passed and get each employee to sign a paper which stated employee's could not have a firearm in their car. I interrupted the plant meeting and told all the employees and managers that was now against the law. I also told them I would be glad to contact our state legislators and the NRA if they needed a clarification. I'm sure the reason for the paper and meeting was the change in Indiana law which they assumed none of us would be aware of. Since I had spent years writing letters and making calls trying to get this passed, I was well aware of it. Within a week I had a letter from HR in California promising they would abide by the new state law. I wasn't very popular with our management after that though. I do wonder if they will try to get them to sign it again now that I'm not there? I guess that's not my fight now.
