We have 2, one with the bluelink setup thru myhyundai.com

Wife this morning was startled and scared her big time when at 12,185 miles this morning driving in heavy traffic a loud BEEP went off and on screen in dash said 'maintenance due soon' shutting off the radio for a split second when the loud beep happened.

Well,  figured out by calling hyundai dealer that every 7500 mile oil change intervals setup that way thru mfg. that it will go off if have bluelink activated.  Hyundai dealer didn't know in service at first had to ask someone what to do.  He said we have to push in rearview mirror the bluelink button and say, 'bluelink service completed'  to reset the message from happening again yet another 7500 miles from now.

I asked dealer how to disable that feature since can cause an accident scarring driver the beep was that loud.  He though you can go into myhyundai.com account and change it, but I tried and cannot disable that feature.  So, guess will have to remember to push that button stating service completed EVERYTIME I change oil every 5000 miles so it doesn't happen again.

Stupid system if you ask me that NOT too many Hyundai owners would know about.

I personally think that bluelink was initiated by Hyundai to monitor their hyundai vehicle owners to have every excuse in their realm to deny warranty coverages keeping a watchful eye on owners spying on them vs. actually useful information and helping the customer.

Your wife was probably listening to some loud music because because the sound from these things, and bluetooth devices, come through the radio speakers.  I was rockin' one day in the car and someone called me.  The radio volume faded out and the phone started ringing really loud through the car speakers.  Scared me the first couple of times as well.  First your mind goes in different directions when the music fades out.  You're like "What the…." and then ringtone goes off at whatever volume you were listening to the music at, which is usually loud.  When the music fades out, you gotta remember to turn the volume down.

That must be in addition to the part of the reset of oil life being 7500 miles.  Dealer said I could change it online thru myhyundai.com to 3750 miles being severe usage or get rid of it and have not found it,  website is pretty useless.
I do remember fiddling with the steering wheel controls though and NOT the bluelink mirror button about setting a 'service reminder' over to 4500 miles to remind me to change the oil when I changed it at 10K miles a few months ago.
