I'm looking to retire down in the Eastern Tn area.....I have fallen in love with that area since the first time I rode down there. I found a potential place over in the Rogersville area. What I'm looking for is any advise or feedback (good or bad) about the area. Also, does any one have a real estate agent that they have dealt with that is good. Being out of state, most agents don't want to spend the time and energy to look for you knowing that it could be a long time until you find the right place. Thanks!

Rogersville is 50 miles from me and I don't know anyone that lives there Look at Rocky Top, Tennessee .... Clinton , Tennessee ..... Oak Ridge , Tennessee .... Oliver Springs, Tennessee ..... Some good roads up that way near Rogersville.... Some good roads also in the towns I listed above. Cathy Brown and Otho Brown Realty sell alot of homes and land. I see the signs everywhere and they have been doing business in this area forever.

No knowledge of Rogersville. Bean Station, Morristown, Washburn all good areas close to Rogersville. These areas get a little cold for me in winter, try further south.
Just about anyplace in East Tennessee except Knoxville or Chattanooga or there counties would be fine.
I am in Frazier, very rural, very quiet, very inexpensive.

Perhaps Frayser,Tn North of Memphis is what he meant although I wouldn't be looking there.

Frazier is east southeast of Dayton in Rhea county. Off of highway 60. Zip is the same as Dayton 37321. Frazier is a community, unincorporated, mostly rural. Search for Frazier Grammer School on Double S Road or Frazier Volunteer Fire Department on New Union Road.
Its in that big bend of the Tennessee river, just north of the intersection of the Hiwassee River. Locals sometime refer to it as "the bend"

Dang Pete...I'm on the north west side of Cleveland, your just 50 miles from me, we need to hook up for a ride sometime. Smokin'Joe, Wimp, Gordon, and I will meet a lot of times at the I-75 Sweetwater exit to go ride north GA. or the Dragon.

May be closer that that (50 miles). Good to hear from you. Feel free if you are in the area, look me up. I am usually home, if not out riding. PM on the way.
