The lower Hudson Valley

Usually on Sunday I cross over the Hudson to take mom to lunch and fix what
breaks during the week  If its nice I take one of the bikes

but today

Damn thick ice  freezing rain ice and slipperier than a crooked politician I could barely slide to the car and the car just slid down the driveway no matter how much calcium chloride I used it just washes down and freezes right up

The ground is still around 20 degrees I suppose so nothing to do but watch football this afternoon
dont have a dog in the fight but my kid does live in Seattle now so maybe I will root for them

Not to worry, plenty of  scotch available, think I have 7 bottles of scotch plus lots of
bourbon in the basement (yeah I am a survivalist lol)

Tomorrow is supposed to be dry so I will spend the morning hacking away at ice and putting down sand and ice melt

Sure wish I had one of Hotglue's flamethrowers handy

When you retire you can fix this problem. As a friend, who lived on a sailboat, said, if I need long pants, I'm too far North.

Stay inside if you apply the Scotch solution.  Ice and alcohol can be a nasty mix.

Oss,  hope you got the ice off the driveway by now and you may need that scotch if the Pack continues to hang in there and NOT having a blowout by now against those Hawks.  I would have loved to see the Pack up 28-0 right now instead of only 16-0 allowing the Hawks a chance to win the game still.  GO PACK GO!  If the Pack losses still being the underdog,  they will have NO ONE but themselves to blame allowing at least 2 of the 3 TD's to escape them.

Yep, I've always heard the same.  No ice in the scotch, just a little branch water.  Grin
