HAHA I run the car heater when its 70. Yesterday we put 150 on the fat girl down through Tombstone and back through Wilcox. Yea, in August it will be 105 and such. Just a little water on the long sleeves and it will cool you right down. Just like a little turn on the Heattroller will warm you back up. Never mind the weather. As long as it isnt a broken arm, nasty chemo creme or broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung, I'll ride. Last year was kinda rough.

Went for a fun ride yesterday, unfortunately it was a short 100 miler. But this time of the year it was enough. Only got in to the low 40's, but the sun was a shinning, birds were signing, even a few bugs out. Been out 6 times since the first of the month. Kind of strange for this time of the year as we normally have that white stuff on the ground. Having a January thaw early this year.

I lived in Prescott for nine years and moved to Or. in 05. Around 99 I rode down to Phoenix in July and the heat was so bad that I exited the 17 freeway just as I got into Phoenix and made it to McDonalds to cool off.I almost didn't get in as I was experiencing heat exhaustion and was shaking and getting weak. When I did finally got in I made it to the restroom and soaked my head and arms down then got some water to drink along with ice cream. After an hour in the restaurant I go back on my GW and went back up the mountain to Prescott and the monsoon rain that was coming down. I never went to Phoenix again in the summer months. 105* , that's in the morning before the sun comes up. By the way , it gets hot in Or. too. 106* in the summer is expected.
