Well actually he said his uncle was killed by a German sniper and they were taught snipers were cowards. Not to defend him but I can understand if that happened to a family member your family would be critical of snipers and teach you that.

So, if a family member was killed by a bayonet, then that soldier would be a coward also?  i.e., ALL soldiers thus would be cowards.

I think someone who is living under the protection of thousands of soldiers, living and dead, and calls them cowards, is the true coward.

snipers have been called on to stop advancing forces long enough for troops to pull back, at times costing the sniper his life.

Moore is a bloviating, gas bag, coward, living in a country of heroes. maybe he's be happier in Cuba?

From what little I read bout la la land while WHAT they say saddens me it DO NOT surprise me. They are after all granted that right in this Country. I also went to War for those that protested the War the loudest. DO NOT under ANY circumstances believe I'm defending THEM-I defended their right to have their own ideas no matter how much I disagree with the sorry assed sumbitches that most likely never wore a Uniform. I'm also for sending them to a couple of countries that come immediately to mind-some of our soldiers are still there. Some body mentioned getting press-I've heard it stated there is no such thing as bad press-good or indifferent it's STILL getting press. RIDE SAFE.

Read the book! Kyle was not only a sniper. He was also a ground soldier. More than once leaving his sniper's post to clear buildings and engage the enemy in ground combat.

Understand that human excrement because he claims a relative was a sniper's target? Sorry, his track record of hating everything about this country other than the food on his plate has gained him ZERO sympathy from me.

When that slob grabs a weapon and stands the watch he'll have some insight into what being a soldier is all about & can then brand them all cowards if he wishes.

Bayonet is up close and personal. Eye to eye with the person you are fighting.
There was a time when submariners were considered cowards because they sneaked up and sank shipping from below. But that's changed over time also. Snipers are a vital part of warfare and as the saying goes, All is fair in love AND war.

This is America!! I say, let the guy vent his pain, so what, we are all scumbags from one time or another. The good thing you don't have to agree with him, you have your own feelings about it, and that is all that is important to you. Any way you shouldn't get influence by the media, if you let it bother you, they have won. Like I always tell people "I don't care what you say or what you do, until it becomes my problem, then I will find a solution" So don't let things, that people say bother you, its when they don't say it is a problem.

First, Mr. Moore tweets this:  My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse

Then he tweets this:  But if you're on the roof of your home defending it from invaders who've come 7K miles, you are not a sniper, u are brave, u are a neighbor.
8:35 PM - 18 Jan 2015

Using his philosophy, the Germans who killed his uncle were brave.    Wouldn't his uncle have been an invader?

When he fits into a uniform and serves, I might give a damn what Mr. Moore thinks.

I dont want that asshat in uniform.    What a profanity thet would be.
Could you imagine the sleep you wouldnt get while he was on picket,,,,sleeping?
However, I sure he sleeps very well while brave men are willing to sacrifice for him to do so.
It gets me, "Thats what we were taught", crap.
I was taught alot of things, and further study on my own, formed my opinions.

I hope Moore and his ilk continue tweeting. I believe it will just increase the box office. I saw the movie and think it reinforces what
our brave patriots and their families endure for our freedom in this wonderful country.

I saw the movie the other night. It was very good! I also have a great respect for White Feather, Carlos Hathcock. He was also legendary in his own right with 93 confirmed kills. Carlos stated that he actually had over 300 kills but since there were no other witnesses, they couldn't be verified. Without Carlos's accomplishments, the Sniper program was going to be scrapped. His accomplishments made the Marines change their mind. Hathcock once killed an enemy sniper by shooting him in the eye...through his own rifle scope. The only way that could be done is if they were simultaneously aiming at each other. Luckily, Carlos fired first.

One of my good online friends was a marine sniper - not sure if he ever had a combat tour. You wouldn't want to mess with Jon. Quiet and calm, very purposeful. After he made a fortune with software him and his brother developed / sold.  Is currently a LEO in Charlottesville VA. (or at least the last I heard).

Watched it last night.

I won't suggest it wasn't as good as advertised but, I think the hype had me expecting a lot more than was delivered.   My fault for letting that happen.

What I will be critical about is the baby scene.    Pretty obvious and not done well.   If you've seen it, then you know what I'm talking about.   If not, enjoy the movie, it is a good movie about a very brave and patriot serviceman, his conflicts in war and at home, the brotherhood and some damn fine shooting.

Not that article, but I've read of this before from other sources.

Let's just say that I'll take the word of a actual hero over the word of a washed up wrestler turned one time liberal governor regardless the courts decision.  Courts have been wrong before.

True or not, he sued and won.  Chris Kyle is dead.  Venture is still suing his wife.  His wife has nothing to do with it.  As far as I'm concerned, Ventura is scum.

This is how I feel about it....

The article is not so much about Ventura but about other things Kyle said and did. I'm not a fan of Jesse Ventura by any means. But if somebody tells blatant lies about you, you should be able to defend yourself in court. I think if you read the whole article you might have some ?'s
