You are very discerning

Heaven help us... I started with these:

Then I tried the medium length arms, then (now) the long arms...

September 2018...

Mods: Russell seat, big handlebars, Traxxion forks and shocks and steering head bearings, Corbin bags, Utopia backrest...

I got a two-inch-shorter (seven inches longer than OEM) set of throttle cables made and installed them, nine inches
was too long for the throttle cables...

I have two sizes of GIVI top cases, they're only on the bike for trips...

I still imagine the handlebars being a little different... I never measured my Valkyrie
handlebars while they were off, I found these measurements on the web:

diameter:1"  height:6"  width:33" pullback:14"  center:9"  clamp-area:3" x 5"  part-number:53100-MZ0-000

While riding I paid attention to the slightly different place and angle I wished
my hands were at, and using the above measurements I think I might try these
32″ width, 5″ rise, 15-1/2″ pullback Yamaha handlebars: Baron Custom Accessories  BA-7308-00
I'm not sure what makes them "Yamaha", but they're one inch bars...

Mike,

If I had known that you were looking for another set of bars, I would have given you my 1-1/4" set that I made for my bike.  I decided to make a set of 1-1/2" bars because I like the larger size.  I ended up giving them to a guy on the F6C site.

I still have my original 1" bars that I made.  I found them a little too small diameter because of the length, but you may find them fine.  You can have them for the cost of shipping.  The last set of bars cost $80USD to ship to Ohio.  I just would need to find another large box to ship them.

Thanks for the offer Brian... I need to try lowering the
handlebars I have a little and maybe also adjust my
backrest to scoot me a tiny bit forward, that might do
what I want... I'm just thinking out loud about different handlebars
for now... I was even looking at the helibar web $ite, they have
a 1 inch cruiser/bagger bar. The way you can turn the handgrip
part of helibars out at arbitrary angles seems pretty useful...

People still look at this thread occasionally, so I wanted to add
the updated picture to show that the handlebar change has worked
for me in the long run...

No problem Mike if you ever decide that you want them just give me a p.m..

I hope you are doing fine with that hurricane where you are in South Carolina. It's a pretty nasty storm with the rain coming down in buckets.

2025

I guess people might still look at this thread, it's been looked at 11,000 times.
I just noticed all the pictures were dead due to yet another out-of-my-control
innernet reorganization. I pointed all the image links in the thread I could back
to hubcapsc.com, the images will stay there until the lights go out there.

I still have both Valkyries. Never any trouble with the modifications to the 1800.

Been all over  :cooldude: ...
