I was sicker than a dog all day Sunday could NOT stop sneezing NON-STOP and runny nose all day long as well. Was horrible. I took 4 sets of meds staggered apart 3-4 hours from 12-10 p.m. I went to bed and was zonked out mostly because meds and me don't seem to agree since I don't take any normally. Well, this morning had to get up and go poddy standing up #1, felt sick to my stomach walking back into bedroom to lay down. Walked briskly back to poddy and tried throwing up 2x's with nothing coming up. I sat on poddy doing #2 then since felt horrible/like throwing up still. In midstream, I guess I passed out falling forward naked and all. My 2 kids called 911 and I was gurgling when I came to another 1-2 minutes later. I told daughter to cancel 911 and NO ambulance needed since I felt 90% better but woke up in a clamy sweat. Told kids to hold of on going to school until I took a quick shower to clean up and to watch out for police since is customary to have officers come to any 911 call. Still weak but no more sneezing/runny nose hardly, just sort of weak. Am sure it is a type of flu bug, but daughter thought I was a gonner. Guessing my blood pressure dropped all of a sudden and I passed out. I have done this about 3 other times in past 15 years same scenario going poddy at night/early morning and passing out feeling sick. I guess if it was weekly or monthly or even once per year, I would be extremely worried, but once every 5-10 years, is that normal when sick???? Only good news is they want me to work tomorrow, and said NO.

Be careful going #2.
About a year and a half ago, one of our co-workers disappeared late one afternoon.
He went into one of the stalls in one of the rest rooms. He had a heart attack while going and died right there slumped over.
No one missed him until it was time to go home for the day and everyone started to wonder where Jim was.
It wasn't unusual for Jim to disappear for awhile sometimes....as he'd go into one of the stalls to give himself his insulin injections.
This time, he didn't come out.

Prob vagaled out. Prob shoulda went to the er unless passing out is normal for you. Could be heart, bp, or other underling issues. Normally it dont cost you anything for the medics to check you out.

cookiedough GO GET A PHYSICAL and tell the Dr. your history. It takes more of a man to ask for help. You have young ones that need a father. I lost a brother years ago to an annurism when he ignored the signs. It struck him on Tuesday , was going to retire on Friday. He died on Monday. But he saved the cost of a check-up.
GO SEE A DOCTOR I live just south of you , If you want me to come hold your hand , Just say so.

Hmmmmm, I'm NOT a doctor and never played one on TV but this raises all kinds of red flags to me.... "I took 4 sets of meds staggered apart 3-4 hours from 12-10 p.m."Don't know what the "meds" were or how many you took but they may not have agreed with you or should not have been taken together or taken that close together. May want to re-visit that practice. At the very least check out the side effects of each....you may have overloaded your body. Again, I'm NOT a doctor although I vaguely recall playing "doctor" when I was 5 or 6 years old........

NEVER mix meds - OTC or otherwise unless prescribed by a doc. Maybe it was you (?) but someone said your BP bottomed out? Probably, and takin a crap alone can mess with your BP. Add to the fact that you are sick, been laying down, and more than likely DEHYDRATED (!) and with the cocktail of meds, I'd say BP with all the factors. I'm no doctor and only an EMT - MFR but I've seen this before. GO TO YOUR DOC! That will be $450.00 Thank you.

Dr. calling. If for no other reason than pitching over and the kids seeing you in all your glory. There was a faaaat guy where I worked once and he brought these bacon sandwiches that must have has a pound on em. One day he he didnt come out and pulled an Elvis. There was a narrow stair well to get to the place and nobody would follow him up. He'd have to stop half way up to get his air back. His favorite quote was," Shut up, I got three of you in here".

Yah, think it was a combo of being sick, taking basic over the counter meds like dayquil liquid and set of pills doing same thing every 4 hours or so. Meds state can take every 4 hours or so, but my system is not used to any meds whatsoever plus being sick didn't help. Every single time this has happened once every 5-10 years is when I go to the bathroom after doing #1 at night or in early morning. Dr. last time said by going #1 in the middle of the night or after getting up early in the morning, in some people, your blood pressure can drop enough to pass out. I also felt horrible (worst ever) right before I passed out trying to throw up as well which am sure did not help. I will be going to Dr. in next 1-2 months when I can get in for a yearly routine physical/well check since is 100% covered every year even though I don't normally go every year to the dr. On the mend, nose is drying out and as of this morning, not getting the chills any longer. I don't get sick hardly at all, but when I do, it is a big one. Thanks for letting me whine>
