I'd do it. Nothing like that, but as long as tethered in good with no weight limits, I climbed about 7 stories up harnessed in and zip lined down, pretty cool.
One thing I will never do which my brother's kid did was jump out of a perfectly good airplane and parachute down strapped onto another professional parachutist. I doubt my somewhat old ticker could handle that free falling.

Here in Orlando there used to be a bungy jump done between two high pillars. Guys used to make bets on whether the riders would wet themselves, many did. My office used to be about 1/4 mile away and some of the jerks in the office would go watch during their lunch hour.

I M H O they should NOT have forced them to swing. You get strapped up you no go you still pay. THAT being said-where do I sign up? Will NOT tell my heart-if it can't figure it out on it's own-oh well! Gonna show my age here-looks like a blast! RIDE SAFE.

I would not go next to someone. At those speeds and torques, you could loose an eye or teeth or your nutsack.

Jess, ever see the video of the granny that was skydiving with a trainer in back, yelling all the way down and suddenly her teeth fly out of her mouth. Often wondered if she ever found them.

As a little boy, my grand dad kept saying....... boy, I bet you go to bed with your teeth in your mouth. This was very confusing to me, how could I not go to bed with my teeth in my mouth? (Family laughing)
I finally asked mom, and she took me in grandad's room and showed me his teeth in a jar. Gave me nightmares.
Strapped together, like in an assisted skydive, I think it would be pretty safe (long as a chute opens). But I would not go with two swinging free on separate bungy cords. (If I went at all)

At $35 a pop, I'd quickly go broke at a place like this! They even reel you back in too go again...........AWESOME I looked it up, a RE-Swing is $35... The initial swing is $195 per person individual, or $175 per person tandem. Those are NZD, translated to USD that's $145.88 individual or $130.92 per person tandem (And that $35 re-swing is only $26.18) http://www.bungy.co.nz/the-nevis/the-nevis-swing

Like so many rides in the amusement park, it's a means to an adrenaline rush based upon falsely convincing one's mind of a danger that isn't really there. I'm sure the odds of dying on (or recently on) that swing, based upon historical statistics, is small. It would be a unique (or nearly unique) view. I'm sure it would be an unforgettable experience.

150 bucks or so seems a tad high, but is a once in a lifetime experience for most. I'm guessing a tandem parachute jumping out of an airplane is much higher in price.
My kids in Gulf Shores AL did a tandem parasailing over the beach for about 10 minutes up in the air 600-700' and cost was around 80 bucks each. Not cheap, but then again, doubt they will ever do it again in their lives, not on my dime anyways.
I was going to do it, but the weight capacity (for sure tandem would have to go solo) was pushing the limits of the eqmt. and heard that just the week prior to arriving, a tandem parasailing line snapped and the parachute flung the 2 people into a side of a high rise condo building along the shore and died. You have to sign a waiver as is customary that if anything goes wrong, you are responsible.

Holy crap.
Looks like she changed her mind and did NOT want to jump. (and forced out)
Looks like she was not strapped in tight (esp in the plane, before the jump)
Looks like her jumpmaster worked his ass off to save her life.
