You will need a park pass to do Needles HWY. If you get a pass at Needles/Custer, it should be good for other parks to for the week, at least thats how it works at Rally time. If you dont want to see Rushmore up close, there is a pull off between Rushmore and Keystone SD. Alot park there. Its actually the road side. You also dont need a park pass to do Devils Tower. You can go into the trading post etc without it. Still a good view. Be sure to stop at the general store in Alladin WY on your way to the Tower.  :cooldude:

Brian, when did they stop requiring a pass or charging at Devil's Tower?   When I was up there a few years ago, that is where I got my Senior card.     If I could find it, I think it is a lifetime one.
Last time I was there was in 09 or 10 I believe. I didnt go up to the tower but went to the Trading Post, got some food, and used the post office without paying.

Okay, that explains it, you never went through the gate to Devil's Tower, where the Park Ranger is located in his little shack.     Everything outside the entrance is free to wander around.
Thats correct. It was a great view from where we were at so we never ventured closer.

What National Park passes should we be looking into acquiring?
Another thing Ive done many times was to hit Bear Butte SP first and get the pass then do Needles and Cuters loop. I believe it was cheaper then any other State parks.

Another thing, dont confuse National parks and State parks. You need a State pass to do alot of good riding in the Hills. Its $7 -$15, I forget. The national will only work at Rushmore.

I found a post that indicated we had 164 signed up for Inzane 2014 on March 10, 2014.  As of today, Feb 18, 2015, there are 225 signed up for Inzane 2015.  Looks like a much bigger event this year, at least so far.  Looking forward to seeing tons of Fat Gurls!
Maybe , but I know for me, last year I didn't sign on til like May. Don't know how many ended up last year at INZANE. Of course the same can be said for this years.  Plus this year , my wife is coming with me, when last year I came solo.

Can I open this up to the "VR" (Volusia Riders) again?

Terry, you have Special status in the VRCC...you could probably do whatever you want...but I don't speak for Staff. I'd say one and all rider friends of yours are welcome in my book.

t-man,

I was in my garage a little while ago, and... CALI was asking about you... wondering if she'd ever feel your tush on her saddle again... I didn't know what to tell her... I himmed and hawed, stuttered and stammered, tried to dodge the question, but... Can you help me out with an answer?

How many attendees were at Colorado?

Misfit

If I remember right it was just under 600 in o6. That record was beat by only a few in 2010 at the first MI Inzane. It would be really cool to set an attendance record in a remote place like Spearfish.  :cooldude:

Colorado was a year before my first Inzane in Johnson City.  We was at that first one in Michigan.  That was nice.  The whole town welcomed us.  Even the McD's welcomed us on their big sign.  That was the first one for Cher and she's been dragging pegs with me at Inzane ever since.

Morning all,
Just thought I would move this post back to the top and inform everyone that the good people of South Dakota have just raised the speed limit to 80 (ish) on the interstates!  :cooldude:
