Thought I would start a thread dedicated to those who are staying there, so maybe we can get together.

Charlene and I have reservations there, starting the Friday before, and going to Friday or Sat after.

According to previous thread, there are three of us that confirmed a site.  Any more since then?

MP               site  P-2
BudMan        site P-4
JoeValkIS     site 57

http://www.spearfishparksandrec.com/campground/

Here is a map of the campground.  Maybe most can either get, or move, their site reservations up to near the P-X sites, and we will all be together?

Are you going to be in a campers or just in tents? The primitive camping area south of canyon street (along the creek) is where the ST-Owners club usually camps so everyone can camp right close together. No assigned sites in that area really, you just set up as close as you want to each other.

I am sure the two of us booked into the Premium sites are bringing campers.  I do not know about JoeValkIS, what he is bringing.

We are going to be roughing it...camping in a tent...but we need electricity for cpap, and heater/fan (as needed)...and whatever else we might need power for.  Cheesy  Ya never know what will be put in the trailer.  Cheesy

Sounds great.  You should see if you could move up near us, but maybe good reason for your site.

Since we are tenting it, we wanted to be pretty close to the restrooms...and since we went with a regular site...and kind of like to be away from everyone for noise reasons...we picked the far corner.  Doesn't mean we won't be down there sharing your fire pit.   Roll Eyes

Looks like if I can make it happen I'll be camping, only way I could afford a second vacation since we are already booked with the annual beach trip with all the grandkids and families.

Question; how late would you say we would be able to book a spot and not get shut out?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Make your reservation.  They have a good cancellation policy.  Either 24 or 48 hrs.  So, make a reservation, and cancel if needed.

I was going to reply earlier but wasn't sure if they had changed. With the ST group sometimes we can never get in contact until the snows gone and the campground is in use! No idea how soon you will be able to contact them.

It is a nice campground as far as the primitive camp is concerned. I  have no experience with the electric sites.
