A famous writer was in his study room. He picked up his pen and started writing: Last year, I had surgery and my gall bladder was removed. I had to stay in bed for a long time, due to the surgery . The same year I reached the age of 60 and had to give up my favorite job. I had spent 30 years of my life in this publishing company. The same year I experienced the sorrow of my father's death. And in the same year my son failed in his medical exam because he had a car accident. He had to stay in bed at the hospital for several days with a cast on. The destruction of the car was another loss. At the end he wrote: Alas! It was such bad year! When the writer's wife entered the room, she found her husband looking sad and lost in his thoughts. From behind his back she read what was written on the paper. She left the room silently and came back with another paper and placed it on side of her husband's writing. When the writer saw this paper, he found this written on it: Last year I finally got rid of my gall bladder, of which I had spent many years in pain. I turned 60 with sound health and retired from my job. Now I can utilize my time to write something better with more focus and peace. The same year my father, at the age of 95, without depending on anyone or without any critical condition met his Creator. The same year, God blessed our son with a new life. My car was destroyed but my son remained alive without any disability. At the end she wrote: This year was an immense blessing from God, and it passed well. The same incidents but different viewpoints. If we ponder this viewpoint that what more could have happened, we would truly become thankful to the Almighty. Moral: In daily lives we must see that it's not happiness that makes us grateful but gratefulness that makes us happy. There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

The "glass" is always full. The emptiness or void in a glass is the air we breathe which we cannot see, like many of the tangibles and intangibles of our lives. People equate the water as the important stuff in life, but to me it all goes together. To me in life the glass is always full, it's just a matter of what we can see and not see when we are looking at it.

Very Good I really liked that, and often think that sometimes we are blessed not to get what we asked for. Sometimes in life its the things we go through that we never would have chosen that bring us to a better place than if we had gotten what we asked for. It comes down to trust and faith. Do you really believe God is able to bless you regardless of circumstance and that and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. I have made some choices and had these choices happened in my life being hard headed my life would have been drastically different. And as I look back, I am so thankful that I did not get what I planed for but instead got what I was made for. Growing character, trust, faithfulness, strength, commitment, never comes easy but is a real blessing not only to us but also to those who need to hear the truth. It gives a insight to life and God that some never get.

My feelings echo that of the guy's wife when she wrote her version of his "bad" year. It reminded me of the two daughters lost to cancer, needless to say I was quite distraught. After the second passed is when I had my near fatal heart attack three months later. It was then that it hit me; they're no longer suffering and after my recovery, I was given a new lease on life. As it turned out, 2012 was a good year because of the above. Plus, the girls now can enjoy eternity together with their favorite grandparents.

In 2005, I lost my right kidney to kidney cancer. In 2014, I lost my lift adrenal gland to kidney cancer again. I almost died during the surgery. I'm very grateful that I have my right adrenal gland and my left kidney. Although I'm missing a couple body parts and my belly looks like a road map, I've very grateful that I'm still alive.
