A quick look and click on the web page and I don't see any specifics about hp, torque, mpg, gas capacity etc etc
Why would anyone get excited about a load of fluff.

Yep, hard bags and car tar! Says up to 119 ft-lbs of torque. Not bad for a V-twinkie.

I'd go with dark red leather seat and throw over bags.

Well it should, Kawasaki openly copied the (valenced fenders) look from Indian for both it's 800 and 1500 drifters. And they did it better on the 800. 1500 800

Having owned a Polaris (Victory/Indian) before I wouldn't run out and buy one again. I had a 2013 Hard Ball and it was a lemon. The Victory forum I was on had a Tech section that never stopped. From "bike won't start after leaving dealership" to blown apart engines. It had it all.
Style is good, but if all that mattered was style I'd be on a beautiful Harley.

I had read of some mechanical issues with the Victory motorcyles. One recurring issue I seem to recall had to do with a leak that I don't remember the specifics on. To be fair though, the Indian is a different bike with a different engine. I really like the looks of the Thunderstroke 111 engine. If I was to be looking for a V-Twin, the Indian would be a top contender. As it is though, I have two flat sixes and a flat four.

e Yea....and if you had read the tech board here you might have steered clear of the Valkyrie as well. Seems like no matter what it is; car, bike, plane, appliance etc..if you read the tech boards they all have issues,,but most are isolated I'd suspect.

Ah, but the tech board here is dealing with 12 to 18 year old bikes. Many with only regular maintenance or lack of it issues.

Boss makes a pretty nice rigid leather, lockable, removable, non-throw over bag that could go nicely. Even though fringe has a certain appeal, I don't think it would be for me personally. Just say'n, for any of you that were thinking this would be a great b-day gift for me next month. Here's a couple, but there are other options.

when in doubt, ride the best: http://powersports.honda.com/2015/gold-wing.aspxred/black blacked out is sweet, I'm drooling big time until I see the 24K price tag - OUCH! I called a Honda dealer who has one and they said is a limited production run more than likely only available is their best guess in 2015 model year, but hoping not. I want that color comob to be around for a long time to come. Sick of the cookier cutter blah Wing looks and although a maroon red fan, Reb's modded blue color Wing all blacked out is cooler looking and not your old man's bike look.

behind that f6b in the pic above lies the red/blacked out Wing - NICE! If you can afford 20K, you can afford 24K for the more decked out 40th Anniversary wing?

While cost can be a consideration, with that line of thought, you could keep on going. I didn't want the full Wing. I considered a regular Gold Wing, but I wanted the seating position of the F6B. The regular Gold Wing has you more forward towards the front. The F6B has you sitting further back . With the Corbin seat and Helibars, it is perfect. I also like the look and style of the F6B. Less "old man's bike" looking. You can buy a regular Wing and F6B it with all Honda parts. It has been done. There is also the kit to do a similar mod, but the seating position remains the same with that mod and I don't think it looks as good.

I've never owned a Twin V before, but I really like this bike. Liked their all black 2014 Chieftain too, but pricey. Would love to test drive a Dark Horse and an all black new Valkyrie on the same day. With the Corbin bags on the new Valkyrie and something similar on the Dark Horse these two would be very interesting bikes.

I just stopped by the shop for a couple parts this morning and saw that 40th anniv edition. That was absolutely beautiful. Only problem though, I could sell both my bikes and my car and probably couldn't afford that. Have not checked the trade in on the wife yet.

the 111c.i. thunderstroke has 119 ft # of torque---I bought the chieftain for the wife--it runs well but no Valkyrie---the pipes are restrictive and it has a catalytic converter which is not adding any power but it is nice to ride--strip all that off and after market pipes and reflash the computer and you will not add much to a great bike---- :cooldude:quiet, good torque, great adjustable fairing, smooth, awesome LED's everywhere--much brighter, cruise control, fuel injected,ABS/anti-lock connected brakes, classic styling with great finish...it has a some 2 inch shorter front tire so the turn -in is fantastic----it really makes the shorter suspended Valkyrie a---17 y.o. bike---

The only motorcycle I have ridden that made my Valkyrie feel old was a Chief and if the Dark Horse had come out when I ordered my Scout I would have it instead. As it is I may get a Dark Horse as well if the wife agrees that I need 5 motorcycles.
