She looks good in the pictures.
Keep up the good work.
If you run out of things to do, I have a 97 Green Creme RoadSmith Trike conversion you can come polish on.
Get done with that and then there is my yellow/Black Chevy Trike in DIRE need of polish.
It has been rode hard and put away very wet here lately. Badly neglected.

Based on my experience, the wheels are the least fun project there is.
Use OOOO steel wool and corrosive wheel cleaner or S100 and then hot soapy water to scrub the snot out of them before any buffing/compound/polishing.
Waxing when done (with non clearcoat wheels) makes your work last a lot longer (before you have to do it again).
Remember to lightly silicone (RTV) those bolts and washers when putting your trunk rack back on (waterproofing).

Which Mirror Glaze are you using. Seems like there are many different compounds.

Thanks for the info Jess. I bought all new urethane washers for putting the trunk rack back on. I will put a little dab of clear silicone also. Thanks for the idea.
Indybobm: Most if it was cleaned good and then done with fine cut cleaner, and then swirl remover and finished with yellow wax. The tank and the saddle bags were beat up a little so I touched up the scratched areas with some 2000 grit wet paper and then went over it with the medium cut, then fine cut cleaner, then swirl remover, and then for the tank I also hit it with machine glaze, and then yellow wax on both.
Thanks for the compliments guys. It was enough that I could not do it very well with the DA porter cable and had to grab the flex to get a little more bite with the compounds.

Best use of a treadmill I've seen Hand held buffer? LOL That is funny. And only use I have for it also. Wife has wanted many pieces of "modern art" over the years. Yes, handheld buffer. I use the flex rotary for most of it. I also have a porter cable DA but it was not biting enough to do what I wanted it to do. The chrome was done with a palm sander with a 5" buffing pad on it and some mothers.

No, not at all. Drain the fuel, remove petcock, two screws and it's off.

My tank is FULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO need to drain the tank. Shut the petcock off, undo the lines, take the 3 screws out and lift it up. I usually stand my tank in the corner on it's nose. It is easier if you have like a 1/3 to a 1/4 tank. Gas weights around 8#'s a gallon, so that tank and full of gas, it can get heavy.

Good thought, but if I pull the forks for anything it will be to send them to Atlas plating to have them chromed. Hmmmm. Wouldn't it look good to pull everything have have it black chromed! That would be bad ass!!!! And probably expensive.

Plating looks great just know that chrome on aluminum doesn't tend to last as long as chrome on steel.
