I am sooooo tired of thia damn cold.
Now that I am alittle older I find I have to ware
my gloves or pay the price of my hands becoming
real painful. I am also tired of looking at my bikes
sitting there with the life line of a charger on their
batterys.

-13 yesterday morning, and -6 this morning, when I left for work.

I could hear the Valk whimpering, over in the corner of the garage...  Undecided

Always looking for the upside, maybe the spring bug season won't be as bad as in years past when we had very mild winters. I hate bugs, but I don't want the birds to starve, just maybe have to look a little harder for lunch.

Look on the bright side I guess,  not much snow to speak of this winter, only cold?   Roll Eyes  Can't say the same for Boston MA area and parts of other states over there - YIKES!

It's the weeks and weeks of bitter cold that sucks though, I can deal with 2-3 days below zero, but a week or more does make winter more dreaded.

Just think,  April 1st will be here in ONLY 6 more weeks - look on that bright side and time to fire up the 2 wheeled scoot!  cooldude

We've had about 10" to 14" of snow altogether-so far!  Undecided My driveway is packed snow/ice from using the driveway AND it's downhill from the street. My Flags I use for the P G R are out in the garage along with my Phatt Ghurl. I needed to load those Flags into my cage so as I was doing the loading she wimpered. And something bout wanting to be triked so as we could ride in the snow!!  crazy2 And I'm like-WHAT??  Lips Sealed I KNOW I'm getting older BUT I REALLY don't believe I'm trike age just yet!  Roll Eyes And-sad to say-she do have a couple of frozen tears in her headlights.  Cry BUT that trike idea and blasting sideways up and down icy streets MIGHT have some merit!  Wink BUT long with trikin her I would have to have electric heated gear!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Normally about here is where someone from a more sane part of the country pipes in with our current weather conditions but with all those negative signs in front of ya'll's temperatures, I'm actually really feeling pity for ya'll now!

So much so I might take a pity ride this afternoon in ya'll's honor...

That's what I did yesterday.  Put some 160 miles on, though some of it was a bit cold (40's temps), most was an enjoyable venture.  As a side note some of our bushes and trees are trying to leave out, only about a month and a half early.

-12 here and sunny, my wife and I both work outside and I can choose what days I want to work but she works for the USPS and has been working 55 hours a week, walks 9 miles a day. First day it gets over 70 she's going to tell me she hates summer.

I have some huge Nellie Stevens Holly trees full of (apparently now ripe) bright orange berries.  Every year about now I get 10, 000 robins thru who settle in these trees and eat them all.  It's nice to help the birds, but the ungodly amount of nasty fresh black poop all over the cars, walk/drive, and house is a real PITA.  And the hose is a frozen rock so that is out.

Also have a huge local Hawk that swoops in to see if he can get a quick meal too.  The robins don't seem to like him.

I don't know where these robins are headed.  I have heard they fly south because it is too far too walk. Roll Eyes
