This is what's keeping me from losing it this winter. So far it's working. Bought this last March and it looked like this. So far I've changed (or am changing) the bars, front brake lines, front fender, added Sportster exhaust, seat (Valk passenger OEM), added front fork springs, cut OEM rear fender, new tail light, new blinkers, new mirrors, headlight brackets, rear shocks, rebuilt front calipers, new (used)front wheel, repainted just about everything I've touched. She's a runner, so I'm just doing mostly front and rear cosmetics and suspension now, gonna ride it this year, maybe rip it down next year and do over the clutch and paint the frame, engine and covers.

PO added electronic ignition and new timing belts. Clutch is a little funky, but it'll do for this year. I can't believe anyone thought those seats looked good

What shocks are those and how long? I have a 1200 project going and the OEM shocks are 14.25" as I recall, gives you a nosebleed just sitting on it. Looking for something a couple inches shorter but haven't spent a lot of time on that just yet.

The shocks on the bike at present are Progressive shocks 13.5" that came on a parts bike. I took them apart and painted them. They seem to work good.
The one's on the floor are OEM's , I believe, and are 13.5" center of hole, to center of hole. They were pogo sticks.
I haven't looked into it much yet either, but I believe you can cut them down a little.
If you want them to experiment on, I'd be glad to ship em to you.

I was so pleased to open this thread and find it didn't involve any water resident unicorns. I hope my friend, the rock disintegrationist, can find his own sanity in some similar manner.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not ready for them yet anyway. I just have it in my mind that I want something much lower than what came on it, the OEM's are ridiculously high on this thing.

Nice looking old Wing, Hoser! Are you bringing it to INZane this year? Looking forward to seeing it (and you with the rest of the Kansas crew).
