My 14 yearold furchild Jade laid down where she could see me walk in from work today. I walked in, she looked up at me and passed away. She'd been feeling her age for a while and we expected it. Thankfully she was able to pass away peacefully at home. Hopefully we can all be so lucky.

I'm sure gonna miss her though. Rest in peace girl.

Sorry for your loss, Frye. I've been through it and it's never easy. She wanted you to know she was ok before she left for greener pastures.

Very sad and a tear jerker. We always had dogs and cats. It's always hard to lose a loved one.

I lost my German Shepherd about 3 weeks ago.  We spent the morning out tracking, etc.  She didn't make it home.  At least we spent her last day together.

I'm down to five dogs, and it's awfully quiet around here sometimes.

She'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge someday; you'll see her again.  God loves a good dog. Smiley

If you are lucky, and when it is your time, you will meet that Jade again. Something to look forward to I guess. In the meantime, enjoy your memories and smile when remembering.

You lost a great friend.  In the heaven I envision she'll be waiting for you there, ready to fetch some tennis balls.

Sorry to hear of your loss, dogs are part of the family, and when they go its hard. WE GET USED TO HAVING THEM AROUND SO MUCH,I have found that alittle time and then if you can, resque another, start a new friendship.   I have had 6 dogs in my life, my daughter is on her second. Lessons in life to be learned are not always fun best regards, ...... Ride On

Frye,

So sorry for your loss.  We have had our labs over the years, and currently have a black & chocolate, and they are always the ones who are happy to see me come home, even if I am late or forgot to get that gallon of milk along the way....   I'm sure you'll miss him, but you have all those great memories...

Lyn Del, sorry for you too...  Only 5 left, and it's quiet????  Best wishes to you also...  Great snow around here.  Frye, I'm sure your doggy loved running in the snow, I know mine do...  Take care...

Sorry Frye! It rips your heart out. I lost my best buddy a year ago after 12 years and it still makes me sick to my stomach. I loved Pete. I won't have another I can't do it again. Some people think of us that love our pets as much as we do as goofy. Sobeit, sorry!    Cry

Thanks Paul, and everybody.
I have to admit, I'm not so anxious to get home from work now. Fooled around out in the shop when I got home trying to avoid going in the house, stopped at Jade's grave on my way in. Man, I missed her looking out the window when I pulled up and greeting me with a wagging tail and a tennis ball when I walked in the door. Someone once said they wished they were half the man their dog thought they were. I agree.
