I had a chance to Meet Bob Munden years ago at a gun show in Nashville.  It was hard to believe what we were seeing. He did several demonstrations and showed how the timers worked and then showed several cowboy movie stars times for quick draws, like Matt Dillon, etc.     Jerry Lewis's, the comedian, time was extremely fast, but now one near Bob's time. The clock would barely move on his draws. He was an amazing superhuman with guns.  He did have a ego, but by golly, so would I if I could do the things with a gun that he could. Sad he's gone.

It is an impressive demonstration.  But what I value more than pure speed for one or two shots at a stationary target, is the ability to stay cool under pressure and deliver accurate sustained fire against a determined enemy of one or many shooting at you while you do so.  It's hard to find U-tubes of that.

I remember reading a biography of Audie Murphy.  During the late 40s-50s, over half of all TV and film was westerns.  It was said that of all the action western film heros of the era, Audie was the fastest quick draw of the bunch.

You beat me to it. Here's another good one. He shoots a Barrett .50. Six shots in .98 seconds. All rounds on target.

Did I mention it's a .50?

He is fast and deadly accurate. I have seen him shoot targets at 100 yards with a 380.

An amazing shooter to be sure. He had better than 20/20 eyesight to go along with the reflexes too. He was also a truly gifted gunsmith from what I have gathered. Single actions with factory timing would probably be impossible to shoot that fast.

Bob lived in Butte,MT not far from me. I got the chance to see him shoot a few times. very impressive, fast and accurate. He could shoot any gun out there better than most. His skills as a gunsmith were probably better than his shooting. I believe his wife still lives there.  His gunsmith shop is still open and operated by the only guy he ever taught to gunsmith that I'm aware of, if you get a chance to purchase one of his guns I would jump on it. If you need or want the finest SAA you can get send yours to his shop to be worked on. He specializes in colt SAA and clones. worth every penny.
