Can you change out just the outside casing ?
I have some scratches that  want to get rid of.

Yes, except the bezel ring around the face, that doesn't come off.

Yep, just remove the tiny Phillips screw inside the trip reset knob, and the large screw on the center of the back of the housing. It will slide right off.
