But we thought it was comical at the time.

Last night we were in town [ Key West] having a party for a friend that had a stroke and is wheelchair bound and hasn't been able to be there for several years.
Anyway, 18 of us were walking down the street together and a good friend and I happened to be walking side by side when we were approached by 2 girls that proudly announced that they were lesbians and asked if we were. We looked at each other and I promptly said I was a lesbian to which the girls stated they would like to watch. I responded that I was thinking more along the lines of full participation. They thought about it for a second, figured it out, said something they thought was appropriate and disappeared in a huff.

A couple minutes later we stopped at a corner and everyone crowed in for a picture of the whole group. I felt something/someone next to me with his arm around me and didn't think any of it until I noticed a group of guys sitting along the street having a beer and laughing. I looked and here is this stranger with his arm around me posing for the picture, I immediately put my arm around him and started laughing at his friends and motioned for them to get in on the act. They joined right in and made a few more friends.

Only in Key West. Heck of a town.

Maybe the guy heard you say you was a lesbian, and he was lookin for
more than friends.

Hope he wasn't standing behind ya when the arm went around. Eww.

I once spent a month in Key West (Weird) (1976).

I got asked on more dates (and to dance) during that month, than the rest of my life put together.

Everyone was very polite and all, but I had to decline..... I like longer hair.   Wink

I would have said to the 2 lesbians,  you two first!   Grin

Pretty ballsy (for lack of a better term) for the 2 girls to ask if you were gay.

I would either have said, you 2 first I like to watch, or tell them none of your _amn business, piss off.

It's too early for Fantasy Fest.

Or, is it year 'round now?

Maybe they just really liked you.   coolsmiley

I really really like Key West, thats why we spend the winters there. Its a crazy town. Pretty much everyone there is extremely friendly and ready to party.
Its 3 different towns depending on what time of day you go through it. And, the fishing is great.

Fantasy Fest. Thats the craziest week of the year. There has been a big war going on over it. Its the most profitable week of the year, yet, some idiots that have never been to or participated in it are trying to ban it. It appears it will remain as is though. There is nudity and some open sex, but, everyone is pretty well behaved overall.

Having grown up there, we always said Halloween on Duval street is redundant.
