I watch the loop you posted.

It looks really good over Johnson County, Kansas.  I'm not sure what the rest of you are complaining about.   Roll Eyes

On a positive note...it will help wash away the dirty snow and the grit and crap all over our roads.
At least that's what I'm hoping for....

Tucson - Its a dry heat

You guys should really quit whining about the weather.

After the dam ad in this url, there is a cool graphic of windstreams - 4 simultaneous "tropical systems" in the South Pacific...

http://www.weather.com/storms/typhoon/news/cyclone-pam-vanuatu-south-pacific

Cyclone Pam just nailed Vanuatu.  This system is huge, and would cover roughly half the USA land mass.  Cat 5, 135 knot winds - call it 155 mph, with gusts to 190.  Most of the population is now homeless.  We lived in Am Samoa from 2001 to 2008, and they live with the potential for these things every year.  You want to talk about rain?  I've seen 10" in about 12 hours.  Almost lost our boat there in Cyclone Heta in 2003, which was another Cat 5.  Cat 5's hit land about once every 5 years.  We moved to Tucson in 2009 - much less chance of drowning here... Grin

We loved the tropics... but don't miss these beasts whatsoever.
