A pair of 440 HDs came my way but they need rebuilding. Called Prog today for a quote. They said they no longer make that shock so they're not fixing them anymore. He offered 412s or 416s. Kinda makes you want some Works shocks. Anyone know a source for fixing a 440?

This company may be able to help.

Could be a long shot though.

Damn. I bought my 440's largely because of the lifetime warranty. I wonder if they would still fix them under warranty?

It was my understanding if you have 440s and a receipt for their purchase new (I have two), they would rebuild or replace with 444s (or whatever the new ones are).  If you bought them used with no new receipt, you get neither.  They are done fixing 440s.
