He sent a text to his mother saying sorry I forgot Mother's day. Barb said I think something is not right. Then today he sent another text saying that according to the VRCC calendar last Saturday, 3/15/15 was mother's day.
Sure enough, it is on the VRCC calendar. Barb said well at least we know he is ok. Don't know if anybody else noticed.

Yeah I think it came up in SmokinJoes thread about their March ride. I forget what the deal was ,maybe Canadian Mother's Day ?

As I explained elsewhere I have for the past few years allowed the calendar generator to include holidays from Europe, Canada, U.S., and U.K.  Afterwards I would go through to manually remove duplicates and unnecessary items.  In the past they have always called the holiday "Mothering Sunday".  As the Wikipedia has noted it is increasingly referred to as Mother's Day.  It slipped past me but I feel little regret as I'm certain most mothers deserve at least two days in a year.
