I made the trek over to my cousin's place today and loaded the valk onto the trailer.  It was -15c out so driving it home was out of the question.  I highly doubt it would even start in that temp.  I was supposed to have some help to load it but when my wife and I got there, no one was home.  Oh well, we were able to do it.  The roads at least were dry and there is not much salt on the roads.  I got it home and the bike felt like a block of ice.  I decided to let it warm up in my garage for a day before I try to start it.  I put in the battery and hooked everything up.  I also changed the shock bushings since they were in badly need of replacing.  The old ones should have been replace a few years ago but I kept forgetting.  We are supposed to get some warmer weather later this week and my wife and I are hoping to get a ride in on our bikes if we get some rain to clean the salt off the roads.

If global warming is happening...why is it so cold up here?

Man, I love those red and blacks! Problem is I could only find the black half! Nice looking bike! Wednesday, pulling my bike out from front of garage. Co-worker and I going to remove tank and such for a new paint job. Picked up a set of saddlebags in the fall and they need painted. Decided to paint entire bike. Anyway, your wheels are outstanding. How did you get them black?

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

I've put miles on the Valk this spring, but will not be doing so for a while.  We got 8" of fresh snow yesterday...

I got them powder coated about 6 years ago.  They are holding up great.

same here, but 9" of the white fluffy stuff.  Weird:  73 degrees one day last week,  today freezing temps and 8-10" of snow, go figure?   :tickedoff:

Looks like another full week at least before the Valk comes out of hiding?   :'( :'(
