Pretty sure most all of the Dems are gonna vote for Hillary no matter what, so we'll leave the Dems poll for another thread....this is just a poll of the Republicans.
Who and why would you vote for them?

I WON!!
Not a great list IMHO, but I think Bush is the only one who has a shot at winning a national election. Governor Pence of Indiana would be my first choice.

I'm not a Republican, although I do often caucus with them. If the nominee is Bush or Christie or someone else of their ilk that they dredge up I'm voting Libertarian.
If the nominee is Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker or a few other possibilities (Ben Carson maybe) I'll vote for 'em.
Yeah yeah yeah, a third party vote is a vote for Hillary. Sorry, but I just don't see any discernible difference between a Hillary and a Bush/Christie.
The Republicans went with the sensible "Can win in a general election!" candidate last time with Romney and lost.
The Republicans went with the radical conservative back in 1980... and won in a landslide...

Scott Walker, I think that a Governor will make a better President then a Senator. Walker has won three elections in a Democratic state. He has taken the hard road when needed and stuck it out.

I agree and for the same reason. Governors have experience in the role of an executive branch. A legislator in the presidential office keeps trying to legislate instead of performing the executive role.

If they put Jeb up as the nominee, the republican party will have lost before it begins. I have nothing against him at all, other than the fact that he is George W.'s brother, and George H's son (AGAIN) and that is enough to have people vote against him. The republicans are in a sorry state if they can not get someone better. I vote Rand, (possibly Walker)

I live here in Walker country and mostly, he kept his campaign promises his first term, even though he had to be elected twice to serve four years. That by itself makes me want him to give it a go. My concern is he is trying to go a bit more mainstream on his exploratory campaign for President and he should stick to what put him in office here in WI. A Walker/Rubio ticket would have my support. Cruz has no hope in a national race even if the Tea Party surged back to life. I would love to see Carson on a ticket but question if Washington is where we want to have him start training for politics on the big stage. Paul has a certain appeal to some younger voters, but he seems to waiver on issues that could require military intervention. Bush as VP might make sense on the national level, but too many feel as Serk does about a Bush re-run for POTUS. I don't think Christie will push very far before he drops out and he seems a moderate at best. I really want a new face to give us a fresh start to clean up the messes the current POS-POTUS is creating. Maybe appointing an Attorney General that will prosecute obvious crimes committed by current office holders could be a start. Just a wishful thought. ???

A Walker/Rubio would be my choice.
We don't need another Bush or Clinton. We don't need a governor from a state that has been in the news for arresting a guy with a 300 year old flintlock pistol and then wanting to do a ballistic check, GeeZ!
Ted Cruz is too unstable. Huckabee I personally like but I don't think so. Trump should be trumped. Rand Paul has interesting ideas.
It's funny, here we are talking about candidates who all have reasonable resumes and yet this country elected a Chicago politician who cannot speak a line of truth but was qualified only as a community organizer.
AND we did it twice!!!!!!!

I hope that Ben Carson will come to is senses and not run. He a brilliant man, who has done more for real peoples lives than any other of the candidates (on both sides). But they'll eat him alive. And I don't think he deserves what they'll do to him.
I've listened to a lot of what he has said over the last few months. He compared gay marriage to some stupid crap and some of his "fixes" were too simplistic (like most liberal fixes) where no real thought went into the fixes implementation, cost, etc.
Believe me, I know that the practice of medicine, and being head of a dept. and president of organizations is extremely political, but not at the level of leading a country and leading the people. Maybe he should run for Governor first, then move on to higher positions if he still wants to.

Let's not forget that many of his business's and business partners are bankrupt.
That's just because the banks won't float him $18 Trillion in loans. If the country had to follow the same rules as a business does, it would have to file for bankruptcy every year.

I kinda hope that a non-white or an Hispanic person gets the nomination. Wonder if the Right would throw the race card at each opposition like the left has been doing for over 6 years now.
Even this far into it, this guy Lamont Hill (calls himself a Dr. He's a PhD, a phake doctor. LOL!) still says that since the Pres is black, and there have been no other black presidents before, that every opposition is based in race. That is the whole thought process, from a PhD.
