Unless you consider the fact that I own a Valkyrie. What I'm going on about today is my 21 year old Oldsmobile with 208+++ miles on the 3.8 liter V-6 under the hood. Went to Jefferson City Mo. yesterday for a P G R state ride captain meeting. Call it 145 miles from my driveway to the American legion post where this meeting was held. Filled the car up at the wally wurld in Houston Mo. up and back. The first fill up which included a lot of in town running showed 24.1 which ain't to shabby. Anybody that's run from Rolla Mo. up to Jeff City on U S 63 knows it's hilly and curvy and curvy and hilly with an assortment of little towns and various speed limits thrown in for excitement and revenue.  Lips Sealed From fillup north bound to fillup south bound indicated zackly 235 miles which took 8.403 Gals which resulted in 27.96 M P G. Lets just say I DRIVE my cage and leave it at that!  Roll Eyes Figure instead of spending the money on something newer and looks better and MIGHT get somewhat better fuel mileage i'll just drive my Olds til it dies. Oh and between oil changes at around 3500-4000 miles it uses less than 1/2 a quart. Besides-when I need to track down parts or supplies for the Phatt Ghurl and weather is crappy of Phatso is on the lift=cage time!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

The only good cage is a paid-off cage.  cooldude

Long as it doesn't cost you more to fix than a new(er) paid-off cage.

Then there's the old story about the devil you know vs.......

Jess-the day I picked the Olds up I owned it. ZACKLY like the Phatt Ghurl-the day I picked it up I owned it. Being as I DO NOT like or appreciate lying around in the gravel to work on my cage anymore I have an EXCELLENT car mechanic right here where I live. In fact THE reason I bought it-it was a customers car that he had been servicing since new. I'm the 2nd owner on it and ONE of the major selling points for me-it has NEVER been smoked in!  cooldude The fact that mechanically it still operates like it should is the cake-all the other stuff is the icing!  2funny RIDE SAFE.
