Many years ago on a planet in a distant galaxy I was riding down Hanger Lane, west London on a CB200 splitting lanes between a van and flat bed 18 wheeler. Van moves over and I end up with my right handlebar and mirror under the flat bed with about to squash me instantly dead wheels in front and behind me. That taught me a lesson.  Shocked

That was either an idiot or, someone with a death wish.    Maybe both.

I did that once. Was merging onto the freeway and one of those trucks with a long concrete beam was in the right lane, traffic in front of and behind him, so I just drove under it... Of course, this wasn't on the Valk, that'd be way too tall, this was in my 1988 MR2, which was more Go-Kart than car...

What cool cars those were. I espicially liked the look of the next rounder version.

(Threadjack incoming Wink )

Me too...

I've owned 4 cars in my life, and 1/2 of those were white Toyota MR2s... 1988 NA and a 1993 turbo. I knew I'd married well when we came into a little money, and my Honey-Do list was to take the '93 turbo in to the MR2 specialists and have 'em upgrade the turbo, put a boost controller on it, few other toys, chip it, and dyno tune it...

Drove MR2s for almost 20 years. And being 5'19", the funny looks I got when I unfolded out of one never got old.

When I sold the '93 one of the conditions was that some day I'd have a mid-life crisis that would involve spending WAY too much money buying a fully restored MR2...

Serk, have you hit your mid-life crisis yet?  Grin

I was going to say something about how in the world did you fit in that go-kart vehicle, but you beat me to it.   Wink

My Dad told a story from the mid-sixties when he was stationed in Oberammergau Germany. They had these huge vehicles to carry missiles. I think they had four axles, with each wheel independently powered and steered. The wheels were probably more than six feet in diameter. When ever they had these things on the road, they had a lead car and a chase car, all in contact by radio with the driver of the missile carrier.
One one occasion some local in one of those little egg cars whipped around the convoy, but well before he would have had time to clear it another car passed in the other direction. There was no place for it to have gone. The road was too narrow.
The guy in the chase car got on the radio and asked the other two if they knew what happened to the egg car.  Neither of them knew anything about it. So the guy in the chase car eases out where he can see down the road, but he can’t see the little car. He does see a line of oncoming traffic, so he has to slip back in behind the missile carrier.
Just before he does, he see’s the little egg car dart out from between the back two wheels, (wheels number three and four on the left side) and pass wheel number three, sliding into the slot between wheels two and three. A couple of cars pass and he then passes wheel number two and slides into the slot between wheels one and two.
He eventually passed everybody and the last they saw of him was the aft end of a three wheeled Isetta disappearing in the distance.
