Hi Guys/gals,

I just bought the new Valkyrie today, and I am considering the Memphis Shades Hell Cat for it.  If you have one can you post a picture of it?

The Honda windshield that they sell for it looks hideous, and I want something that looks nice.  I did look into the one from a company in France but their website is horrible.  The windshield is really nice looking but it is almost the same price as the Honda one.

Thanks.

I found it to be a pretty good shield... a little narrow... my handlebars aren't normal, though...

I used two set of Memphis Shades hardware to mount my OEM shield... really nice...

Looks good Mike.

I see that you were able to get the Honda screen on more of an angle.  The orinal hardware puts the screen straight up and down and I was not happy with the look.

I like the look of the Hell Cat on your bike.  I think it suits it.

Thanks

I tried both screens at several different angles. I'm sure I wish I had
some of whatever the Honda guys were smoking when they decided
to put it straight up and down... ugly and lots of buffeting.

It is best now, like the last picture above... tilted a little more than
fork angle...

Remember that none of my pictures have much relevance to
a Valkyrie with OEM handlebars...

I am also thinking of changing my bars.  I am thinking of a raised straight bar.  I saw one I like on eBay, but I am waiting until I get my bike on Saturday so that I can do some measurements.  I don't want to get into lengthening cables and such.  I saw what you did with your bike, and I don't want to get into something like that.
The next thing for me to save up for are the Corbin bags.  I love the look of them but are a little pricey for me right now.  I have a black valk like yours and they look really good on your bike.
I did order the black pieces to change all the chrome stuff on the tank, dash and head light.  I was afraid that the sun would blind me.  It was bad enough on my old valk with the gas cap.

Have you changed them out yet? I had to take all the plastic off from around
my headlight, I thought it was hard to figure out how they had
it all clipped together so I could remove it without breaking anything.
The chrome piece particularly.

The tank chrome is pretty easy to remove.

I'd guess the LED pod would be the hardest to change...

All the pieces are on backorder until May 19th.  I will have to put up with the chrome until then.  I may Plasticoat the tank piece black for now, though.
