I'm retired from the sheriffs office. Had the annual dinner and meeting tonight and they gave me my award.  Now if only I could retire from Cummins. |

Congrats! Road Officer or Jail? I did that in 98 after 28 years on the road and I don't miss it at all. Too much mamby pamby crap now-a-days.

that was a year ago
Retired Dec 4 2014 but they only give the awards during the yearly annual Dinner in april. It's not really official till the Sheriff give you the award and shakes your hand and blows smoke up your butt on how much they will miss you and what a good job you had done. |

Yup-retirement is good. Thought-erroneously-it turns out-I'd miss over the road trucking.  Glad you retired safe and sound. With the way they are trying to put the L E Os in a bad spot now be a good time to hang up the Badge!  More time to ride-AND THAT is always a good thing! RIDE SAFE. |

EMR , Search and Rescue, Body Recovery and Training Officer. Got out due to being tired of having two jobs and the politics are getting worse.
Still have my Job at Cummins. I have 8 more years before I can retire full time. But since Obumer became president I may have to work longer.

yep this obummer thing has really put a damper in my plans also,, i am 62 and might get to retire when i reach 75 or so.. |

Congrats on the partial retirement and reward. The time until leaving Cummings should pass quickly, time goes by faster every year.
But, I understand the point about obama and his incompetence though.
