The Inzane trip coming up is going to be the longest M/C trip for my wife so far. 3k or more in 11 days. I'm trying to plan it out as best I can so that she is comfortable and has a good time. We did 2500 in 6 days on my standard a few years back and she had fun but was hurting. Anyway I can't afford Russell seats right now. My I/S has ultimate low boys on it. Which is definitely better than the standard with OEM seats. But I was walking thru Walmart the other day and saw a display of exercise mats. Well my cheap ass thought Hey that looks like it would help. So along with a bath rug I set in motion making redneck seat cushions. So I'm throwing this out there now so that when you see us rolling into the spearfish hotel riding a bath mat try to contain your laughter as much as humanly possible  2funny

I cut up one of those beaded taxi driver type seat covers for my wife a few years ago.  It looked like hell, but it kept her comfortable...which kept me comfortable.  Smiley

Okay, here's another "don't laugh" idea but really does work.    cooldude  I put about a 12" square of bubble wrap under my sheepskin.  I believe what I have is the 1" bubbles.  Works like an Air Hawk but at the cost of pennies in comparison.  You will find it at WalMart in the shipping supplies.  Comes in a roll.   Wink

Hey Rob, those of us that will not be able to make the trip Cry need entertainment also.

I'm thinking a pic would help, plus it would take the surprise out of it. Smiley

Just saying.

2funny good thing I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post pics. Actually they don't look TOO bad. Luckily they had black bath rugs, kind of looks like a poor mans sheepskin. Undecided

That's BS, you figured out how to put the weather in ALASKA on your profile. 2funny

I'll be looking for a pic when you get to spearfish, from someone that has figured it out. Grin

The best thing I have ever done for long ride comfort is cool max underwear. they keep your ass dry, and that is the biggest issue I have with long hot days. I never get a wet sore behind.

Careful..........if you hit a large sharp bump you might hear the sound of gun fire as a couple of them bubbles pop.........could be funny or disconcerting depending on the perception.

Jeff, I guess you are talking about that "monkey butt" thing.  I guess Im lucky or just weird, but I have never had that issue.  Not in 40 years of riding and I have done a few long long days in hot and cold, never had a wet but.  That just sounds awful, glad you fixed it.

Seriously, they hold up quite well.  Even under the extreme pressure I put on it.    Cheesy
