I just got home from a two day ride to Pittsburgh, to visit an old Army buddy. This was the fourth time I've visited him since we got out in October 1974, but this was the first time that I rode thru the tunnel into downtown Pittsburgh.  I was totally amazed at the view. One second you are inside a tunnel. The next second you see skyscrapers, bridges, rivers, downtown Pittsburgh at its finest. I totally agree with Skinhead. Downtown Pittsburgh is one of the best looking cities in America.

Yep, when you come in to the city thru the Fort Pitt Tunnel the view smacks ya in the face.  But keep alert for the traffic cause once out of the tunnel onto the bridge, people are jockeying for exit position off the bridge.  Especially during rush hour....LOL.

Last time I went through that Tunnel was a special trip just for Reeses' Peanut Butter "Pittsburgh Popcorn".  I'm due and even though they mail-order/deliver, nothing short of an actual visit to the 'burgh will do.

Maybe in May..... I still need to retrieve my Valkyrie from Mom's boat shed up in Markleysburg (left there from after the Dam Ride).

It's good you keep up with your service buddy. One of mine recently contacted me, with serious health issues. I could have stopped in to see him before/after the Dam Ride, he's in Athens, TN, had I gotten his email sooner. He's worth a special trip too.

Its A FineTown.  Full Of Mostly Good, Friendly People.  I Encourage More Members To Visit There, But More Importantly, Ride TheSurrounding Area.  You Won't Be Disappointed.
