Don't threaten me with a good time

Greeneville, TN

« on: April 13, 2015, 06:30:36 PM »

Undecided I Really was wanting to make the ride this year. Unfortunately my scheduling didn't work out as planned. It's customer/dealer appreciation week at John Deere Dubuque Works.

I was hoping to get some miles down Thursday after work, now we have a large dinner planned for customers and dealers in the forestry business.

With less than year at my job, I'm still in that position to make an impression as best as possible. It's just one of those things I couldn't tell the boss man no on.

Not having much saddle time in this year, I'm just not up to pushing the 1200 miles in one day.

Sure was looking forward to seeing everyone, at least I have my days set in stone for Inzane!

I wish everyone a safe journey to Alvin TX this weekend.

That's one hell of a Corn Picker, or a whole tree saw.

DID you make that?

We used Power Saws and Skidders when I was a kid, to do that job..

Dad's first log skidder was a John Deere, the last one was a Timber Jack, a real hoss.

He had a Pettibone Skidder as well, Mom pronounced it Peter Bone, rather awkward..

Here is a CAT.

welcome to the 'working' world, get use to it.   Cry

at least it is 'appreciation days' and social gathering/eating, etc.  more so than sitting in an office all the time dealing with never ending problems. (or so I hope it is that way).   Smiley

my wife has over 18 days of vacation she has to use up by the end of this year/cannot carryover, or she losses it like she did last year a few days.  sort of hard to take days off when surrounded by idiots not able to help do the job which if she is gone,  the place might go belly under on certain days.   Angry
