Looks like a bargain

Found a 99 I/S on powerbrokers inc today with 29k asking $4995. Seemed a bit of a bargain to me.  
No affiliation with them, just a local dealer near me.

Damn it was still listed as available this morning. Get up there cash in hand and it's not only sold but there were 4 others looking for it this morning according to the salesman. And the guy that bought the interstate had them sell his red valk and that sold before we got there too.

But its ok. I still got mine!

I betcha that dealer is kicking themselves in the keester for not jacking up the price a few more grand?

Some dealers and/or owners have no clue what these older machines should be worth I guess?

I've seen a few I/S's with under 40K miles as well for about 6 grand, but that is about as low as I've seen them go for unless having 75K+ miles on them already (being the I/S version).   I wouldn't mind finding a LOUD exhaust hooligan standard Valk with windshield if I could get it cheap for say 3 grand in good shape though so I could WAKE UP the neighborhood with it. 

I saw locally on craigslist very close within 20 miles of my home a poorly painted std. Valk for around 3 grand that am sure needed some work/cleaning,  was going to go out and at least look at it (if was stock more normal paint I would have been more anxious to go), but even that was gone within 1 week much to my surprise.

This place that had the interstate isn't a dealership. They are a "broker". You take your bike there (or other vehicle) and they will sell it for you for a commission. They put out the ads and have a sales floor.
You tell them the price you want out of it and they will try to get it. At least that is how I understand it to be with this place.
The guy who had this particular Valk had health issues and just wanted the bike sold fast.

I'd woulda given 6k for it if it was as advertised.

But I still got mine!
