Hey guys,

I got a call from Ron this morning and he told me that he'd had a STROKE...   He sounded pretty good, but was going in to the doctors for his first follow-up and they were going to let him know how he was doing.  Said his memory was giving him trouble (lots of us have that issue, me included!),  but he is hoping to rebound from this and be well enough for the trip to InZane.  I'll post more when I know more.   Heal Fast Ron... you are an inspiration to many and a Valk guy EXTREME!    Get well soon buddy...

Wayne,

I talked to him this AM...  sounded a little fuzzy, but going to the doctor this day and we'll know more later.  He still thinks there's a chance to make InZane...  We'll see....  Prayers would not hurt!

Hey Ron, got prayers and thoughts headed to you from Iowa.

Take care, do as the Dr says and behave yourself.

When ya head for InZane, stop by if ya have time.

Maybe a bunch of us can break bread together.

Several of the riders are supposed to let me know when they will be here.

Let me know Bro.   Would love to see ya again.

I talked to Ron on the phone this evening and he sounded much better than I expected. There were some pauses while he searched for a word occasionally, but all in all he communicated pretty well. He did say that talking didn't seem to be a big problem, but he wasn't able to read. He can see the words but they don't register in his brain. Also, he has no left or right side weakness and is able to get around ok, so that's a positive. He starts therapy tomorrow and is holding out hope that he will still be able to ride to Inzane. Gotta have a goal.
