Why is it that every time I try to sell a bike on craigslist, everyone wants to use PayPal and give you whatever you ask. And than they want to have it shipped to them in another state or even another country. scam scam scam
what's the best way to sell an bike without getting took?

Don't sell it on CraigsList.

Advertise it locally and also on the VRCC 'The Classified' board.

I have the same luck that you do on CraigsList.

My son can put something on CraigsList and it is gone in 2 or 3 days.

I've sold a few bikes on Craigs list. I just tell them cash only sales in the ad and no test rides without cash in hand. I tell them I'll give them 10 minutes to test ride it and if they like it fine. If not and it comes back in the same condition as it left me they can have the money back. They wreck or damage it they bought it.

Your right though there are a lot of scammers out there for sure.
