I'm really enjoying these shows.  They are based exclusively on documented fact, and really well acted.  I remember my folks buying a set of leather bound Time-Life books about the Wild West when I was a kid; I darn near wore them out reading about those characters.  The series is on Fox News, two shows tonght will be about Kit Carson and James Hickok.  Highly recommend!

Also, right after, on Smithsonian, there is a 6 show series on the Bakken Oil Field in ND.  Check it out if you want.
