Took a short ride to get lunch and watched a guy park next to me, crawled out of his car then circle my bike checking it out.  Can't say I'd want to get in and out of his car but it sure was a beauty.


I took the long way home but had a shudder in the front end when coming to a couple of stops. The first thing to check was the brakes. I had a feeling the pads were frozen by a build up of gunk on the pins holding the shoes in.  Turned out that the pistons were frozen also.
Got it back together and something was scraping, metal on metal on the left side. That turned out to be one of the clips had a tab broken off which allowed to clip to move far enough to scrape the disc.
I bent the clip enough so I hope it's going to stay in place.
Well, I took it for a test ride, stopped to get something to eat and took the long way home again. Smiley
Lesson learned....do brake maintenance more often.   cooldude
