on the test ride today but I'm sold on the Austone taxi tire. I have a Shinko 777 bias ply in 140-80-17 leading the way and it also seems to be good. The transitions are even better than the Nexen 5000 I just took off and I was liking the Nexen a LOT. Soon as I got the Phatt Ghurl on the highway going down the ramp to the 4 lane I KNEW I have the RIGHT tire on the back. Can't wait til I get it completely scuffed in. Get her inspected tomorrow-$10.00-and tagged-$24.50 for two years. Lookin forward to I-15. New plugs new air filter oil changed rear end service new tires desmogged-c'mon summer!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I've put just short of 500 miles on the new Austone Taxi Tire, and I have no complaints.  Have only been on two lane roads but I think I will really enjoy it on the super slabs...

I took mine for a ride today as well.   Curious what pressure you ended up using?

Starting at 40 P S I and after It gets scuffed in I'll "ride" it!  coolsmiley Once I get a good feel for it I'll start reducing pressure 2 P S I at a time and see if I can find a better sweet spot. NOT that It's bad now but only 18 miles!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.

My beautiful bride told me that the Austone arrived last Saturday.  CANT WAIT to mount it when I get back from Ebola-land (Africa) and see how she does.  Ordered some new final drive O Rings to change while I have the rim off again and Austone.  Avon front shoes arrived as well, so going to swap out the Battleaxes with the Avon front and Austone rear.  Have heard nothing but good from Hotglue and Warlock about them as well......WHOOO-HOOOO!  PS - My wife even said I had two motorcycle tires arrived - she asked, "I thought you ordered a car tire for the rear?"  I did!  She said, it is hard to tell - it looks like a bike tire. cooldude
