Hello fellow Valkyrie owners. I had a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate and ended up trading it for a Harley a few years ago. Well I sold the Harley and just got to missing a Valkyrie. I found a 1998 Valkyrie standard. Has a Memphis Shades windshield and the guy I bought it from had just changed all the fluids, spark plugs, lubed the drivetrain, new tires, adjusted all the carbs, replaced the timing belt, put new progressive springs in the front end and even put a full tank of gas in it for me. It has 46000 miles and rides great. It is stock also. Sorry for the crappy pic but it is the only one I have taken of it so far. I even have a service manual for it. Once again I will be lurking the forums.

Welcome back.  Think of your "new" Valkyrie as a blank canvas, ready for you to apply your personal touch.

Welcome back, going from an Interstate to a Harley, were you pleased with the HD? Good experience?

I'm not contemplating the switch; just wondered how it worked out for you.

I had a 13 heritage softail
loved the riding position. nothing really bad to say about it other than expensive. wife liked riding it. just ended up selling it to buy a new truck. decided to go back to the valk instead of buying a Harley because it was quieter and smoother and less expensive.
I hope that answered your question. I like all kinds of bikes. just love looking at that big ole flat 6

I'm new to Valkyrie land so just wondering.....with only 46000 ml, why did the PO change the timing belt? Is this the normal mileage expectancy for a timing belt?

Mother Honda says to inspect them at 100k I replaced mine at about 75k just because of age, but they looked as good as the new ones.

He said piece of mind and the fact the bike was getting older. He said they looked good when he replaced them. I think he liked to tinker myself.
