Prices seem to be all over the map lately. For a nice Tourer anywhere from $4000 to $7000. Don't know what people are actually getting.
Be warned however, that custom paint like yours is a very personal taste and can be a deterrent to someone wanting to buy. If they don't instantly fall in love with your paint choices, they'll be looking at your bike thinking that if they buy it, the first thing they're going to have do to it is paint it....and that's not cheap.

It's gotta be worth two or three grand. I guess I'll take it off your hands! How many miles? What year? Check Cycletrader. Most are going between $5-9K (the upper end is usually dominated by Interstates). I know that's a big range, but it iss what it is. The accessories will give you something like $0.25- 0.45 on the dollar. You get more out of parting them out if you have OEM parts to replace them with. The paint won't boost the value a bit unless you get someone just dying for that (albeit very nice looking) paint job. Hope that helps. Jerry

We have a very customized Valkyrie Tourer that most of you have seen a while back at numerous Inzanes. A year ago I purchased a new F6B and didn't ride the Valkyrie much, couldn't part with it so our youngest son has had it since then. He is now getting a new Valkyrie, 2015 and we are taking the Valkyrie back. I am not sure what to do with it. Keep it or find someone that would really appreciate it. I have not been keeping up with what they are worth.
Was wondering if anyone had tried to sell anything similar and if there is a market and what kind of prices are people actually getting. Actually the price does not have much to do with it, we are kind of attached to it and have a hard time letting just anyone have it.
The pictures and description are on the bike page. http://www.valueaccessories.net/Valkyrie/Valkyrie.htm I just kept mine when I bought the F6B last year. In fact, I just got back from a short jaunt on the Valk after work . Love my F6B , but the Valk still makes me smile too. How many miles on it. Got a guy here in my chapter of the CVMA who is looking to upsize from a Suzuki M90 I believe. It's like a 800 cc cruiser. Told him he should be looking at Valkyries.

5-6 grand range or thereabouts, but vary from region to region am sure. I'd take it off your hands though for 3500 cash deal. Nice Valk with some sparkles added in the mix as well, very nice.

No time like the present to sell. In reality, it's an older bike and I doubt it's going to become more valuable. I think the longer you wait, the sooner you'd wish you'd have sold it.

Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Price it righteous to the high side (relative to mileage and maintenance) and see what kind of offers you receive. Troll the waters for awhile and see if there are any big fish out there that will take the bait. No bites? Shave a little off the top and try again. It seems that you are in no great hurry to part with it; so patience on your part may yield better than average results if you wait for the right buyer to knock on your door. The riding season is just starting and new blood is entering the game every day; someone out there is getting anxious for their perfect classic motorcycle to spend the summer riding. What you want to target is an introductory buyer who is not presently a Valk expert, but someone who wants to buy into a piece of touring history, comfort, and reliability. The right ride for the right person. Patience has it's own reward...and so does seven or eight piles of hundred dollar bills. Nice bike, someone just may want that exact paint job; no changes needed.

It is a 98, purchased new in 2000. I think it has about 50,000 miles on it. I bought it in 2002 with 950 miles on it after I hit the deer with the first Valkyrie. We have used it for a parts demo bike in our shop. It has had about everything bolted on it over the years and still has most everything on it.

To me... custom paint lowers the number of prospective buyers, and reduces the price to everyone else.
Just ask anyone that has tried to sell a blown Valk, custom anything lowers the number of people willing to buy.

That's because it's easy to buy replacement parts in factory colors.
