Today someone came to the office who I had not seen in almost 30 yrs
A court attorney from Housing Court and myself were talking about the
good old days last week and Roy's name came up  There are parks where folks
play chess (like the movie about Bobby Fisher) and Roy, John and others would play
masters and get killed ....quickly  Roy was good, I sucked at chess better at taking
pics of girls. Some things never change

Anyway it was great to catch up for an hour in the warm sun of the Bronx
He and a friend are riding to Sturgis later this summer  We will be riding the Hudson Valley in a few weeks and I told him about powwow

Here are 2 pics of his bike

It looks like an Indian with Indian seat, Indian badge on tank, Indian headpiece on front fender,
white walls, he added lots of leds and a 200 watt stereo and custom ignition
moved onto the tank

Its really an 800 Kawasaki Drifter   (corrected as it is not a nomad)

They also made a 1500 Nomad I think.  The last one I saw was powder blue with a half naked Eskimo girl and a bear on the tank.........

because he only had 6 grand to work with (plus what he paid for the seat & badges)    Wink

remember a bike a member had called the honda davidson  ?

Effort taken to customize a look is in the eye of the beholder but the quality of what he did
is pretty cool

Not a bad look, but you should have gigged him by letting him know he coulda had twice the machine (Valkyrie) for that budgeted amount...

Great looking bike!
He wont be able to feel his fingers and hands though after a long super slab ride on an 800CC V-Twin.

I had a '96 Kawasaki 800. They are quite smooth for a V-2, and I'd hit the rev limiter somewhere around 8000 rpm. Very fast bike for it's size.

Nice bike, looks really good. I too am in agreement though about disguising bikes or attempting to. Roll Eyes Just my opinion( well maybe some others too) but be proud of what it is.
