The two overnight stops for OSS and I heading out to Inzane will be in Fort Wayne, IN on Friday night and Omaha, NE on Saturday.

Those in the know, if you had just one night in these places, where would you go for good food and entertainment?

TIA.

The big O I know nothing about, but I lived in Ft. Wayne for  number of years.
If I were you, I would invite someone who had lived there for a number of years out to dinner and have them show me around!
If you like ribs, the Rib Room on State Street is the best in that part of the country.

Old Market is the Historic downtown district with many restaurants, bars, shops, and various goings on.
If you got one shot at Omaha this is probably the area you would want to visit.

I don't think you should spend the night in Fort Wayne without spending an evening with Wayne Doenges.   Smiley

Cheap lodging at the casinos on the Iowa side of the river, and you can win or loose some money.  I scored 1500 bux once a few years ago.  Hoser   Shocked

Been to Omaha numerous times - can't think of a thing to do there at night other than sleep (since the wife won't be there).

But you will be going through Des Moines so could stop there and visit with RJ.

Easy Guys, I know Dan Quale.  He is a friend of mine.  He is no John Kennedy, to steal a phrase (or most other politician for that matter) but he is a really nice guy.

I live in New Haven right next to ft. Wayne and i welcome ALL Vrccr's coming this way, along with my son Mad6Gun. I know Ft. Wayne if that's of any use.

BTW, the Rib Bar in Ft. Wayne has changed hands, not sure of the ribs there now.  New Haven has good food and the local pub has over 55 varieties of beer from microbreweries.

My present plans are not to go to Inzane.  It could change, Evan.

Either way, i would like to have both of you stop in. BTW New Haven and Ft. Wayne share borders.

My boss did some work for his parents long time ago. Remodeled their bathroom. He always joked about selling the toilet that Dan sat on.  Grin

That's my town!

When I lived in Pittsburgh, when we ventured west we hated the super slab so we would usually go US 30 to Van Wert OH, then get on US 24 to Peoria.  Somehow we always ended up at some point in front of the Dan Quayle museum in Huntington.
