Take a few moments to read through the "Rules of the Road".

When a post violates the rules I feel complete freedom and responsibility to remove the post.  I owe no explanation to you or anyone else.  You don't get a vote on that.

If you feel the Rules are unreasonably restrictive for you there are indeed other websites available.  This one, we will do our best to operate within the Rules.

I was able to read the joke before it was exterminated.
It appears we are becoming more politically correct.

I guess, Patrick, that depends upon your definition of politically correct.  To often folks apply the term to anything they choose to promote which is determined by someone else to be unacceptable.

I do my best to apply the rules as they have been communicated long before I was a part of the VRCC.  Below is a short quote from the "Rules of the Road".

...  Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing comments; and similar pictures or links, especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin or disability — are not allowed and will be deleted.

You wouldn't have to speak to me for very long to decide that most would find me one of the least politically correct persons you could hope to meet.  I do have a pretty stable set of values on what is and what is not acceptable.

Gee whiz Carl, with rules like that, how are we going to have any fun?  (Just ribbing you a little and I don't want the job.)...Jim Smiley

This website would be a free for all, with all the different members, if there were no rules. Heck, I live in a liberal town, in a liberal state, and I'm not even a liberal. But I know well enough not to offend others! You have to have rules!

You dropped a comma, Jim, and placed one where it doesn't belong.   coolsmiley

Carl, I didn't major in English.  Commas were irrelevant when it came to all the "good stuff" that I had to learn and continued to have to learn for the next 45 years.  Wish I could say that it was fun while it lasted.  If I had known how much fun that retirement is, I would have tried it long before now...Jim Smiley

Maybe more importantly is what disrespect is shown to readers of this board.  Do you know where everyone stands, what everyone finds insulting, what touches a nerve on this one or that?  They're really pretty easy guidelines to follow and we do allow a whole lot more leeway than we could.  I'm pretty sure avoiding terrorist gunmen was not the original point of the Rules of the Road.   Smiley

Apparently not. Not according to that list anyway. We'll have to play nice from now on.  Grin

Is that sentence in English?  If it is you've slipped one past me that I just don't understand.  I'd be pleased to answer it if I understood the question.

Did you mean asshole?  If that was the question I would say the Rules of the Road don't specifically prohibit doing such but it would cast a bit of a shadow on one's character to do so.  If one has truly executed a reasonable level of intellectual assessment a much more constructive position could be effectively communicated.
