MOST BORING ROUTE EVER.
Not sure I understand the humor here. It was intended to be humorous, right?

Interstate? I try to avoid getting anywhere that involves more than 2 lanes. Unfortunately, I have to travel in and around Chicago often and without the super-slabs life would just plain s#!k. One spends way to much time making sure some cell phone yakker is not trying to turn you into sausage when on two wheels in Chicagoland (or with the training wheels). I much prefer avoiding wildlife and farm implements over some soccer mom who can't see me. Besides, the best way to get there is never a straight line in spite of what your geometry teacher taught you.

If you have only a week or 10 days to go away there is no way to get to inzane and back without the interstate I am 30 minutes north of NYC
If I had all the time in the world like Dan does now I would LOVE to be on all secondary roads
Maybe someday I will get to retire in good health and enjoy months on the road like Gilligan and Navigator did or like Hotglue and Flamingobabe do every year
I can only dream it now and envy those kind of maps like Dan posted

If you don't know where your going any road will take you there George Harrison
When you come to the fork in the road, take it Yogi Berra (Don't send it to me C.O.D.)

If you get a chance to ride the California coast (all of it), you won't be sorry.

if I may............
im not big fan of the pacific coast highway
really pretty yes
but not fun to ride
cold wet windy over crowded priced patrolled regulated twisty ups and downs poor road surface
so if you want to SEE it do it
I don't find it fun to ride anymore
I like 395 on the eastern edge of the sierra Nevada better
ps if you are going to ride it I would go north it will keep the sun out of your eyes
