Passenger armrests

1999 standard with Ultimate seats & passenger backrest. Wife hates pass seat
& doesn't want to do any more long distance rides. Anyone have experience with Big Bike Things armrests? Are they sturdy enough to lean on once in awhile to relieve some pressure or are they strictly meant for arm weight only?

I agree with Jeff on the Ultimates and my wife's life depends on them because she falls asleep all the time!
Just about tempted to get a Harley and wake er up!

Sandra and I tested Ultimate seats (and backrests) at InZane last year, and she didn't like the passenger seat either. The ridge at the back didn't allow her to slide back enough so she could sit vertically the way she likes.

My wife loves her armrests, and I like that I can remove them in 5 seconds when I'm going solo.

I have this on my 98 ( Fast Black ) Tourer. Takes some drilling but a very nice looking setup. They do not fold and my only passenger is my 11 yr grandson. They are very good quality.

MGM had Ultimate seats and passenger backrest before the Trike conversion.
Wife and youngest daughter both liked them, Grand daughters, 13 & 8 also like the armrests.
They like to squirm and they don't toss ya around like they did without the armrests.
So my vote is Ultimate.

The S.O. tolerates the Ultimate Armrests...she would prefer none.
My little one, loves the armrests.
I like the versatility, removability, etc.
And ... they complete the Ultimate seating package on my Standard.

That's the beauty of the Ultimates......just pull the pin and they're off!
