Hi there Texans,

One of your own, Joevalk, was in my part of the world this week (Adelaide, South Australia) and after a few false starts, we got to catch up with each other last night.

Its wonderful the way a common interest can bring two blokes together from other sides of the globe and form the basis of a new friendship! Thanks to this forum for making that possible.

It was a cold, wet night but at Joe's gentle prodding I left the car at home and took my Valk down to his hotel on the beachfront. After a look over my extremely stock standard bike, we took a walk and found a great BBQ restaurant where we both tucked into a huge, tasty mixed grill.

The conversation flowed and we talked about many things including Valkyries, Mopars, cigarette advertising, those massive pickup trucks you have in the US, my band, Joe's family, the foods we love, travel, and the differences between our countries.

It was a fun night and I wish Joe safe travels home to the US. When he comes back, I will have my 82 V4 Magna on the road, and we can go out for a ride together. Now that would be fun!

I'll load a picture of us together later in the day.

Cheers,

Mark

It was great meeting you Mark. Good company and good food. The only thing I was missing was a good ride. Maybe next time. I never thought I would ever see a Valkyrie in Australia, much less a VRCC member :cooldude:

Post the pics, mine aren't very good.

Cheers,

Joe
