WHAT of this EARTH do we as humans have or hope to have that will not only contain but contain safely in excess of 150 millions of degrees? And-yes-I realize at one time people "thought" -incorrectly it turns out-that people going faster than I believe 60 M P H simply would not survive. We as humans have a difficult time building "SAFE" nuclear power plants and we ARE still wrestling with the waste generated by said plants. AND IF this thing effs up will the damage it creates stay with the plant? I also realize where we would NOT be with "progress". RIDE SAFE.

I just believe that if God put Earth's nuclear reactor 93 million miles away, not sure if we should question His wisdom.

So how do they contain something that is that hot, won't it melt the structure it's in?

The duck billed platypus. Not so much wisdom but he had to be just messing around that day.

But I would agree, if you are going to make a star, making it far, far, away would be a good idea.

I do like the part in the story "If all goes as planned..." Yeah right.

Magnetic confinement.  Now if that fails it will be interesting.

They need to make a moon too so if the new sun gets too hot we can just eclipse it. Problem solved.
