Too bad they didn't do a cruiser with that engine. Like the looks though.

Apparently nobody remembers how to build anything but a crotch rocket anymore. Just give me the engine and I'll build a bike that actually LOOKS like a cruiser.

Something tells me that this one is still quicker:

Quote
The 1098/1098 S makes a manufacturer claimed 160 hp (119 kW), 90.4 lb·ft (123 N·m) torque, and weighs 173 kg (381 lb). The 0-60 mph time is less than 3.0 seconds and top speed is estimated at 180 mph (290 km/h).[2] The 1098 R, with its larger displacement 1198 cc engine, makes a manufacturer claimed 180 hp (134 kW), 99.1 lb·ft (134 N·m) torque. All these figures give the 1098 the highest torque-to-weight ratio of any production sport bike ever made.

Speed is about HP to Weight ratio.

But when the numerator is 338 (hp) you can give up a little weight.

Traction is another story...

"Speed is about HP to Weight ratio."
V-8 scooter around 1.6 lbs. Per H.P.       Ducati 1098   2.1 lbs per H.P.  I don't think I would snap the throttle open on either one of them at this stage in my life. 40 years ago, "Hell Yea"

I don't think I'm brave enough to take either of them up to top - I won't even take my Valk that fast....

Well it is a custom built bike.  Jay Leno will buy one but not sure who else will pay $180k for a motorcycle off the top of my head.
