This just seems strange. The last couple things we have ordered have been shipped UPS to local Post Office and they delivered package.  Never had this happen before, doesn't make sense. But, its getting that not much makes sense to me any more.

Have had several things come that way. They have a name for it on their end but it escapes me at the moment.

Yep that arrangement has been in place for maybe a year, that I've seen.  Seems there is more opportunity for SNAFUs and I've seen it slow up deliveries substantially.  UPS uses the hub-and-spoke model - stuff from the East is likely to go to SLC first before it's routed to Denver then transferred to USPS and delivered, adding at least a day and often more.  I'd rather they just use Priority Mail, it's fast reliable (pretty much) and the cheapest for the speed.  Might be only certain size pkgs fit this model; I haven't studied it to see when it happens.  Cheaper Than Dirt uses it and I think Midway too. Some Amazon providers.

Sure doesn't make much sense to me. UPS sends a package to our local UPS hub to then be sent 1.5 miles to the local post office. While both drive down our road every day. Yep, adds 2 days to the shipment.

Yup got a package USPS just the other day and it had a big Fed X label on it.  Made me wonder what was going on.

I've got orders on Saturdays when it was shipped this way. Would have been Monday if it stayed UPS.

I have Amazon Prime, which gets me two day shipping. I seem to order things from Amazon on Friday afternoons a lot. Sooo, the Post Office delivers my package on SUNDAY! My wife says it must kill the post person to have to work on a Sunday. I asked one time when I met them at my gate. I didn't  get an answer. Or a smile.

I sell a lot of stuff on ebay and both FedEx and UPS have partnerships with USPS. The shipping options utilizing this partnership are usually cheaper but slower. Angry
